Collection: Silver - Bronze Age Keys
A collection of Marvel Silver Age books would never be complete without the legendary first issue of the X-Men: the issue that introduced characters that came to be important parts of one of the biggest franchises in the comic book industry. Professor X, Magneto, Beast, Marvel Girl, Angel, Iceman and Cyclops - all made their first and iconic first appearance here.
I love how this CGC 7.5 copy presents and the fact that it sits comfortably in one of the first generation of CGC cases (it was graded all the way back in July 2002 and been in this case since then). This particular copy was a part of the comic books collection of Nicolas Cage that was auctioned through Heritage Auction Galleries in 2002.
Nicolas Cage (1964 - present) is an American actor, producer and director who has appeared in close to 60 films and received an Academy Award for best actor for his performance in Leaving Las Vegas in 1995. He has been described as "a consummate collector of comic books".
