Showcase 83 Single Highest Graded Copy
Collection: My SA Showcase Set
This CGC 9.8 NM/MT stunner is the single highest graded example of this 1969 issue. With a Joe Kubert cover and a Bernie Wrightson interior, this issue is a very early entry in the Sword and Sorcery genre in comics, predating Conan #1 by over year.

That would be insane! I have some of the highest copies of every non-key issue, and my best key book is issue 6 in a 9.0 with White pages. From issues 30 to 104 I only have 7 books that are lower than a 9.0 Good luck on your hunt, and I'll be rooting for you!

Thank you! thats means alot! And your collection is insane haha it actually fueled me to try harder! I got 3 so far, #66,67 at 9.0s and #84 at a 9.6. and they are all pretty recent buys so i know its possible! The major keys from 1-30 is gonna be the tricky part for me, Im also finding it horribly hard to find the bronze age ones in 9.8 like that manhunter one you have, cant find it anywhere. I will keep posting my finds on here and the cgc registry. we should def link up! I seriously dont how you found some of the ones you have haha

I made friends on the old CGC boards and they were able to help me out. Some of my books came from their personal collections, as they wanted me to have the nicest complete set ever assembled by a non-dealer. I'm just a 40 year collector that had a dream I was able to accomplish with luck and timing. I couldn't touch some these books at today's prices.

Wow. Well I am a 26 year old with the same dream and i concider myself a lucky person haha. Now I am determined, I will try my luck on the cgc forums as well. and from my research, most of the high grades on the non keys and smaller keys arent too bad. I know that #6 you have will be a real challenge. I am starting out with the non keys/minor keys 1st. Im getting close to getting a nice #82 but nowhere near the amazing 9.8 you got! 91 and up is proving to be hard to find
