Spider-Woman (1999) #1 Authentix Edition

So I liked this Spider-Woman Authentix cover and most examples of it I'd seen took the predictable approach of just having a pencil sketch in the box provided. What I thought was kind of unique about the book was that it was a sketch cover but was printed on a heavier paperstock, similar to what's used on blank cover variants where artists do all sorts of crazy things. So I was thinking if there was something more that could be done. Since I basically had inked art, why not take the next step and have it colored? Also the box provided for the sketch isn't just a square like on some other Authentix books. It's incorporated into the Art as a blank poster, so I thought we should make use of it. I figured we should add Spider-Gwen to the lineup, who is, of course, actually the Spider-Woman of another Marvel reality.

I decided to go with Eric Matos for the job. I'd found him on Comic Art Commissions and had seen his work on deviantart and ebay and in addition to doing wonderful work with copics, he also had a great good-girl art style that could be used for the blank poster.

I thought the end result was fantastic and I'm currently looking for other similar projects to work with Eric on.
